Baseball is the best sport. Turner Finigan, Aiden Crosby, and Brayden Vas are 6th grade baseball players. Sixth grade baseball is about getting to play more baseball, spending time with friends, and having fun with a great experience.
Brayden said, “It was harder pitching from a farther pitching mound, and it was hard getting used to farther bases,” when he thought about making the adjustment from his summer ball team to the middle school team. Turner said, “The hardest part was making new friends.” Also, Aiden said, “It was harder getting used to heavier bats.” While they had different opinions about adjusting, they all agreed you must try harder as a six grader.
Most sixth-grade baseball players thought they did well for their first season of middle school baseball. Turner said, “I feel like I did good all around.” Brayden also believes he did “good”. Aiden said, “He thinks he could have done better.”
All three agreed that future 6th graders should try out for the team if they enjoy playing baseball. They agreed that you must try harder as a 6th grader. Turner believes that your chances of making the team are lower because you are a 6th grader trying out for a 7th grade team. Aiden thinks you must try harder as a 6th grader because you need to prove you can play at a 7th grade level.
Overall, all the three baseball players seemed to have a great experience this season. When asked, they all said they will absolutely try out for the team next year. Aiden said, “It was fun, and I got to play more baseball.”
