Mr. Pacatte has previously played basketball, volleyball, and baseball; however, basketball was by far his favorite. Mr. Pacatte currently coaches two sports: Boys Track and Field and Girls Basketball. This is his second-year coaching girls’ basketball at Lincoln, but third-year coaching boys Track and Field. When he started coaching baseball in 2020 with his friend’s sons’ team who needed help, he fell in love with coaching.
His favorite sport to coach is Girls Basketball. Mr. Pacatte “believes that it is easier to coach girls.” He also added “that sports are great for students to try at least once because it is a way to make friends with similar interests, learn life skills, and keeps people active.”
As for his future, Mr. Pacatte plans on becoming an ELA teacher just like Mrs. Brown, Mrs. Glisson, Mrs. Kinsey, Mrs. Breaux, Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Mead. He started his subbing at Lincoln in 2021. He went to high school for a while. “I have been at Lincoln full time since August of last year”, Mr. Pacatte added. He would prefer to be a high school educator, but middle school would be his second choice. Wouldn’t you love to have Mr. Pacatte as your ELA teacher?
If you don’t know Mr. Pacatte, then I challenge you to meet him. In addition to all these sports, he also leads Fellowship of Christian Athletes. A program that benefits Christian athletes. FCA involves plenty of food, fun, and fellowship. He is a great leader who has a lot of enthusiasm. He always will get you hyped whether you’re on his team or not.
