I interviewed Adam Hertz, a 7th grader at LMS, about his experiences with the Lincoln Scholar Bowl team, where he’s part of both the varsity and junior varsity groups. Adam shared a lot about what it’s been like to be on the team, from memorable moments to his goals for the future.
One of Adam’s proudest moments on the team was when so many new people joined. He said, “For most meets, we’ve had enough people to make two whole teams!” He sees this as a big step forward for the team, and it shows how much it’s growing.
When I asked Adam what he hopes for the future of the Scholar Bowl team, he mentioned that the 6th graders this year have really stepped up. He was impressed by their confidence and said they’ve been doing great. Adam is hoping that the new 5th graders who will be coming to Lincoln next year will be just as excited and ready for the challenge. He also said he’s excited about getting even more people to join the team. Adam believes that Scholar Bowl is not only fun, but it’s also a great way to meet other students and connect with people at Lincoln Middle School.
