Do you want to try out track? Here are some things you should know about track.
Tucker Sanderson and Layla Wilson told us what they do in the offseason to stay prepared for track, to which they both said, “I do other sports during the offseason.” And Jack Cox said, “I stretch and do plyometrics.” It seems that they all keep their bodies in shape so they can run their best during the track season.
They also told us that they liked their teammates.
They told us what events they ran in track, and Jack Cox told us, “I run the 100, 200, 400, and hurdles.” Tucker Sanderson told us that he also ran the 100, 200, and 400. While Layla Wilson told us that she did, “Hurdles, 100, 4×100, long jump, and sometimes the 4×400.” They all ran a good variety of different events.
They said they believed they would make it to state, and when asked for what events, Jack said, “Hurdles and 4×200.” Layla said, “Hurdles, 4×100, maybe long jump, and maybe 100.” Tucker said, “The 100 and 200.” It is cool to see that many Lincoln students might qualify for state.
Finally, when asked what advice they had for people who might want to try track next year, Jack told us, “Don’t get injured.” All of this tells us that you need to stay healthy if you want to do track.
We can conclude that track is good to try out and could be a fun experience for you to do.
