Leo, a 7th grade student, has been doing so well with controlling all 37 students in the one classroom and will continue to do so until he goes to high school. Another thing that he said was that because it is the end of the year, the game will be ending. He decided to bring cake for everyone that came from the start and have a party. Leo also said that the only reason that the D&D club is on Thursdays is because we do D&D club in Mr. McDaniel’s class, and he only has the class open on Thursdays because of meetings. The D&D club is an amazing extra-curricular, and it is simple to learn as well as being friendly and helpful to new players. Leo and the others happily accepted anyone that wanted to join. Overall, the student that made the club, Leo, is a good person and will help anyone that needs help with homework or is simply confused with or about something.
So far, the D&D club has been successful with gaining popularity around the school and with the students inside of it. The D&D club was thought of last year by the president of the club, Leo, but could not be implemented because he thought of it near the end of the year and did not have time to create the club. Also, Leo has the club inside of Mr. McDaniel’s classroom only on Thursdays because he has meetings every other day. Leo also said that the D&D club is going to be longer than a one-year extra-curricular. He also said that he will try to keep it going for as long as possible.
Leo learned how to play one summer at the YMCA from his counselor, Zack, that was a “game nerd,” as Leo said, and Zack taught Leo and the other people in that summer camp how to play. Leo also said that it was hard to learn in some places, and in other places it is much easier to learn. Leo has been into D&D for about a few years and is now starting to teach the new players that are in the D&D club how to play if they do not know how to play. Leo decided to make the club because he and a few other people that play D&D wanted to make a club so they could teach new members and have fun with people that know how to play.
D&D has about 13 playable characters to choose from. A few of them are the barbarian, the wizard, and the monk. A few of the characters have subclasses that you can choose from. An example is the barbarian, which has the Path of the Berserker and the Path of the Totem Warrior. The Path of the Berserker archetype heightens a barbarian’s rage, allowing for more savage attacks, while the Totem Warrior imbues them with some animal attributes. Another example is the ranger. At level three, players choose from one of two ranger archetypes: the Hunter and the Beast Master. The Hunter archetype gains combative capabilities, while the Beast Master gains an animal companion to control.
Overall, the D&D club is a great place to go to if you have time to, and it is also a great place to meet new people or talk to people you already know.
