The LMS Wildcats are gearing up for their upcoming competitions through this winter season! The team is hoping to go to state, following along with getting placed. The dancers are practicing hard and are getting in the mindset to compete for each and every competition. The team is hoping their hard work will pay off when and if they go to state. The team practices four days a week, and each practice is two hours. Sixth-grade dancer on the LMS team, Sami Opel, says, “If we work really hard and are dedicated, we will qualify.”
LMS dance team coach Whitney Klee created the first-ever Lincoln Middle School dance team two years ago, and she says it is always a goal of hers to keep the program growing. Since the creation of the team, every previous Lincoln Middle School dance team has made it to state, and this year the team is hoping to follow in their footsteps. Coach Klee says, “We have always qualified for state, and once we get there, we hope to place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.” So far, the team has had two competitions and has placed 6th and 4th. As the team gets closer to state, they will work hard and stay determined to hopefully qualify.
Good luck, LMS dance!
