Two Lincoln Middle School 6th graders recently shared their thoughts during an interview conducted on Dec. 5th at Lincoln Middle School. They then had to decide which sport is tougher, wrestling or volleyball. After speaking with two middle school students, they both thought wrestling was tough.
Last week in school, Helen expressed that wrestling is harder than volleyball for one main reason. Helen is trying out for volleyball in a couple days. We asked her which sport is harder, and she thinks wrestling is harder because they must do extreme practice. By extreme practices, she is talking about the long, exhausting sessions. In addition to that, Helen is nervous about making friends with the group.
“What do you think you would get out of signing up for wrestling?” – Milo Moody
“How to not hurt people while fighting them.” – Helen
Last week in school, Lizzy, who is on the wrestling team, gave her personal experience in wrestling. As she adjusted and made friends, she became more comfortable with the group. Furthermore, Lizzy expected wrestling to be easier than it is. Then we realized that the training in wrestling can be really rough and difficult. Lastly, we asked Lizzy during the interview what she could gain from volleyball. Lizzy thinks she could gain endurance if she does volleyball.
“Do you think you would get better endurance in volleyball?” – Milo Moody
“Probably, it’s very tiring!” – Lizzy

In conclusion, we identified students who do volleyball and wrestling that they both help in some way. Our opinion is wrestling is ultimately harder than volleyball. So, if you want to do a more laid-back but hard-working sport, volleyball is your answer. But if you want an intense, harder sport, wrestling is the way to go!
