Over the past few weeks, students at Lincoln Middle School have been debating which Supercell game is better: Clash Royale or Clash of Clans. During interviews conducted in early January, students shared their opinions on the two games, which have become popular topics of conversation during lunch and after school.
Clash Royale is a fast-paced game with short, three-minute battles. Players use cards to summon troops, spells, and defenses while trying to destroy their opponent’s towers. Out of two students interviewed, one said they prefer Clash Royale because of its quick action and intense gameplay. “Every match feels intense and different,” said eighth grader Alex Wolz, explaining why the game keeps his attention.
In contrast, Clash of Clans focuses on long-term strategy and teamwork. Players build and upgrade villages, train armies, and work together in clans. Four of the students interviewed said they prefer this game because it rewards careful planning. Student Max Bevel highlighted this strategy, saying, “The best defense is more offense,” which explains why strong attacks are important for success.

Some students said they enjoy both games and choose which one to play based on how much free time they have. While opinions are divided, most students agree there is no clear winner. Instead, the better game depends on whether players prefer fast-paced action or thoughtful strategy
